How this tool works

Use dictation with a clear learning goal

Train listening and handwriting together with HSK vocabulary dictation. Hear the word, use the meaning as a disambiguating hint, write each Hanzi with stroke feedback, and reveal the answer only when needed.

When to use it

Handwriting diagnosis

Notice whether an error comes from sound, character choice, or stroke execution.

HSK review

Practise a defined curriculum level without mixing unrelated vocabulary.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about dictation

Why is a meaning hint shown?

Mandarin has many homophones, so the hint identifies the intended HSK word without exposing the characters.

Can I change the HSK level?

Yes. Choose either curriculum version and any available level from the controls.

Does dictation check stroke order?

Yes. The writing canvas gives stroke-level guidance for the current character.
