Compare stroke by stroke. Replay both animations, then switch to quiz mode to feel where these similar characters differ.

How to compare similar Chinese characters

Enter one Hanzi in each field, play both stroke animations, and look for the first movement where the forms diverge. Switch each canvas to writing practice to reinforce the difference with muscle memory.

Compare shape

Notice stroke length, direction, crossing points, and the position of shared components.

Compare movement

Replay the sequence slowly so a familiar final shape does not hide a different writing order.

Compare from memory

Practise both characters without the outline, then check which detail caused the mistake.

Useful pairs to try

Start with 未 and 末, 土 and 士, 人 and 入, or 己 and 已. These pairs are visually close but become easier to separate when you compare their proportions and stroke sequence.
